Why a Blog is Important to Your Business
Wednesday, 20 January 2010 14:50
Writing a blogBlogging is now a crucial part of marketing a business. A blog can improve any business as it can create interest for clients and customers to use products and services. Having a blog that clients and potential clients can follow allows those people to feel that they are, in a way, involved in your business. They feel closer to your business, as if they know it better than people who do not follow your blog. When you write relevant information for your business, you will be able to convert your readers into customers.

Share your knowledge with your clients and customers.

A business blog can allow you to write about subjects that you would not otherwise be able to post information about or tell someone directly. For instance, if you notice a trend in issues that clients are having, you can post a blog about your experiences with those clients and all of the issues that people are facing. This would allow people to know that they are not alone in experiencing a problem and your business is concerned with helping them find a solution. If you see a resolution to the issue and post it in the same blog, people will be able to see you as a resource for information and then continue to follow your blog for that purpose. This will help get your business name into conversations that people have in public. Friends will talk about your blog over coffee or dinner and every person that gets told about your blog is a new potential client. As the old saying goes, “good news travels fast,” and you want the good news to be your business and its ever-popular blog!

Have your blog integrated into your website.

If your blog is set up properly as a part of your website, people who continue to follow your blog will increase general traffic to your website. As you write more blogs with new information, there will be an increase in content for your website and this will allow for search engines to find your website when people look for different terms that are related with your content.
